Frequently Asked Questions

What is Lextract?

An AI platform for M&A legal due diligence. It opens up the data room, classifies it, reads the documents for red flags, gaps and inconsistencies, and checks the corporate history against the company registers. It was built by transaction lawyers who have run these reviews themselves, and the company is based in Munich.

Does Lextract learn from our documents?

No. Client data is not used to train any model, and no content from one matter is used in another. Where Lextract works to your standards, that comes from configuration: your templates, your review logic and your report structure, stored once and applied from then on.

Which registers does Lextract check against?

Company registers in Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark and the Czech Republic. The data is retrieved for every relevant group company and compared with what the data room holds.

What documents do we get for our own assessment?

The ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, the data processing agreement with its technical and organisational measures, the list of sub-processors, the most recent penetration test report and the deletion policy. All available from Lextract on request.

What does it cost?

Licensing is agreed directly with Lextract. Contact the Lextract team and the terms are settled in conversation.
